Charaka is a women’s multipurpose industrial co-operative society situated at the Bhimanakone village on the western ghats in southern India. It is a small but a significant success story. It produces naturally dyed cotton handloom fabric & garments in a composite handloom unit in Bhimanakone. Shramajeevi ashrama is a common facility center for Charaka women co-op society run by a Kavi Kavya trust. Trains women in weaving, in the production of clothing and accessories, and so on.

Weaving is a very important process and we quality it as well as quantity.
Plain cloth is converted into clothing at Charaka. We have our own designers and manufacturing facility.
DESI is a market responsible for marketing most of Charaka’s products.
